I was up at midnight, but somehow a midnight post wasn't as facsinating this year as last year... *is getting old and lazy*


As a limited thingy with our cable company, we are getting Showtime for a few days, so I recorded Peace Maker Kurogane and Chrono Crusade :D Plus! Wam is premiring Saiyuki: Reload today too :DDDD Really spiffy way to start the year though why can't they start with the original Saiyuki???

.hack//ROOTS starts on Cartoon Network tonight tomorrow morning at 5! I'm so excited! I can't wait to see Haseo and Ovan X3

I got the Puchi Puri Yuushi boxset for $25 at Best Buy today! 26 eps. for the price of a 13 ep. box +$5. I couldn't stop myself ^^;;; It's a shame BB has stopped carrying all the anime series I collect, except for KKM, which is overpriced -_-

JPQ has an Eva doujin by Rito Kohsaka for sale! *flails* But, but, I just made a doujin order last month! Mum will kill me if I spend my birthday money on more doujin (she told me so). I hope they'll still have it or have another copy when I'm ready to make another order ><;;
It's Rito's old art style anyway, so I'm sure it won't be as cool as her other books I have...

Speaking of doujin, I've been considering sharing the luv and scanning some for scanlation groups. Mostly AkuTen, since we have similar taste in fandoms. I guess I should do a test scan to see if I won't bend the book too much first. But, ah, it would be so great to see them translated!

Got a few DVDs from the library. Cat Returns was so cute! ♥ Loved it. I want to read the manga now. The art style was really different from other Ghibli movie's though. Really typical anime-ish.
Now working on X: The movie and after that is Eva: Death&Rebirth :D

I'd say it's just as good as the manga. The best part is clearly near the end, when Light is filling up the pages with names and people are dropping dead left and right. So dramatic! ^^; Edit: as one person in the community said, 'That is one enthusiastic murderer!'

Hey! If I remember right, yesterday was the 1 year anniversary of the English Viz version of the DN manga! And I should remember since even though I was on vacation at the time, I still bought it that day ^^; *dork*
It's so fitting that the anime premires in Japan at the same time this year. October will always be Death Note month, I guess (at least until people loose interest ^^;)

Totally random, but I've been so incredibly bored as of late (just like Light), that if were in an anime, I would've found a Death Note by now ^^; Ah, I want one...

Flyff! Kuraisama-chan is now at level 8! At level 15 job change, I'm going to make her an Acrobat. Long distance fighting is very much my style ^^; Plus, acros use yoyos :D

I love observing people in MMORPGS. It reminds me of .hack :3 The only reason I got interested in finding a MMORPG to play was becauise of .hack.

Speaking of .hack, the 4th game came in the mail yesterday! XD I started watching the included DVD. .hack//GIFT is so funny. It's a paradoy of the series with both the PS2 and SIGN characters. I love Subaru wacking Crimson Knight with her axe ^^;
Ah, I'm turning into such a .hack otaku again >_< I saw an ad for G.U. at EB today XD It looks so good. The character designs are so cool. I can't wait for it. I have to hurry up and finish the one I just bought now.

I watched my recorded Bleach this morning :D The dub is nice! Jonny Young Bosch (Ichigo) is one of my fave VAs ^^ And they kept the opening intact! I love both the song and the op. animation ^^
Trinity Blood was neat too. It needs more time to become interesting I think. Is it just me or is Abel a bit Vash like? He really reminds me of someone.

I finished watching KKM 5 and I was like D: I NEED MORE! I was so dissapointed that the disc was over ^^; It was 4 eps, yet still not enough ^^; I guess that means it is a really good show? ^^; Next time, I need to remember to buy 6+7 at the same time...

I really love KKM. I usually hate series that run forever without an end, but KKM is different. Probably because it's shoujo ^^; It's like, since there's little fighting there isn't any of that 20 ep. long battle bussiness *coughNarutocough* And, they seem to do something new each ep., instead of the samething over and over *coughInuyasha* And the characters are really lovable too. The only thing is that there doesn't seem to be a final goal (that's how it can go on forever ^^;) But, yeah, I like it alot ^^
Oh, yeah, and I just realized that Yuuri's seiyuu is the same as Haruka from Tactics XD Takahiro Sakurai. I didn't realize, cause Yuuri sounds nothing like Haruka, until he goes into full Maou mode ^^; Cool. ^^ *loves voice actors*



Now, to get all bookworm-y on you, there will be a 5th Artemis Fowl this month D:
I don't like Eion Colfer at all. I think he keeps the series going for the money. Like Disney, how they produce all these junk sequeals for storiess that have a solid ending. He also missed the point of book 4. It should've just been about Arty recovering his memory, but he treated it as a junk sequeal and ignored the buildup of book 3. I was especially annoyed that Juliet wasn't in it, since she was going to be his new body guard. Why write something, then ignore it?
I'm dissapointed, but I'll still read it because I do love Artemis so much. He is my all time favorite book character ♥
I realize some may not understand my dissapointment, so I'll put it like this. Imagine after Harry Potter 7, JKR writes a book 8. Yeah. It's like that.

But now I see St. Lunatic and Monochrome Factor on there T_T I mean, I'm very happy they'll be in English, but I hate buying things off the net. Especially stores that dun give free shiping, like the TP store -_- I'll get St. Lunatic for sure, it's pretty much a must have for me, but I may pass MF. Watching Samurai Deeper Kyou on Wam. Haha!, Dad hooked up a TV in the extra family room, so now I can watch the one TV with the extra cable chanels, while Mum watches the other TV XD This increases Sora's anime viewing! *hopeless otaku*

But it's a good show. It really surprised me, cause I wasn't gonna watch it all at first. I mean, it's kind of a Rurouni Kenshin rip-off, but it has really likable characters. I think Sasuke-kun is my fave *little assassin boy luv* But... Akira-han (*talking like Benitora* ^^;) is cool too *grinning villan luv*. Hmm, I'll just say he's my favorite villan and Sasu-kun is my fave goodguy ^^ I like Yukimura too. Heck, I even like Kyou. Yuya-han's such a useless heroine -_- I dun like her. She exists to be kidnapped -_-
I wanna watch SDK in Japanese so baaaaaaaaaaaaad~! The cast list is just...*nosebleed* Akira Ishida (*all time fave seiyuu*) as Sasuke *explosive Sunako-chan style nosebleed* And Megumi Ogata as Yukimura and a ton more voices I recognize *_*
The English...Dan Greene as Kyou...I keep expecting him to play a monster card >_< (same voice as Yugi). And WTF is up with Migeira's Spainish accent 0_o He sounds like Puss in Boots! I can't take him seriously! In fact, I ignore all his words and focus on that stupid accent! So...he better tnot say anything important -_-

Remember I said I bought the Tactics DVD? TACTICS IS SO MUCH LOVE! I had thought the manga was just pretty good, but the anime, I dunno, I just really love it. Kantarou and Haruka are adorable together. Seriously. Kan: 'I'd give my life if it where for you, Haruka' XD I've even taking to reading Tactics stories on FF.N. Me reading fanfics is a very rare occurance these days.
I really like Kan's seiyuu Kouki Miyata. I wonder what else he's been in.
I even re-read the manga and I realize, it was just the 1st book I didn't like. With the 2nd one, things really get moving. I'm glad TP is taking the series away from ADV, so it'll be finished.
They took alot of the cute moments from the manga out of the anime. Like how Kan said he wanted to do the things he did as a kid with Haruka. In the anime, he says with Hakura, Youko, and Suzu (the two girls).
But, somehow, I still like the anime better.

For something non-anime, I went camping the yard with blue_rose_sama and Sarah-chan. It was so much fun!! But....the dew dripped from the celling in the middle of the night. I knew there was dripping,. but I didn't realize how much until morning. it was like a rain forest in there! Luckily the drips landed around my manga (ofcourse there are manga in the tent) and laptop-kun was safely under the extra cot. But still! It was so wet in there! Even my sleeping bag was wet on the outside. Ugh...

I hurt my wrist in my sleep (I sleep funny...) and now I can't play video games! T0T Waaaaaaah!! Devil May Cry is taunting me from the TV cabinet! I miss you, Dante~! T_T
Now I am glad I got all those DVDs from the library...

Speaking of DVDs, I had a Borders DVD coupon, so I bought Tactics XD It was the only good DVD there, since their tiny anime shelf is so main steam XP I can't wait to watch it!(library DVDs come 1st, ofcourse) As it is, I couldn't restrain myself from watching the textless op. and ed. plus the seiyuu interview XD The interview is really cute. They made the actors for the two main guys talk about their worst Valentines Day memories XD

I also got Recipie for Gertrude in English! Yay! It's great to know exactly what they're saying. It's a really cute story. I like it alot so far.
I wanted to get Empty Empire at the same time, but they didn't have it yet...? I thought the release date was supossed to be the same? I wanna suport Kita Naoe manga, darnit!

Kaylan, who I tutor Japanese, asked me for list of good anime. I've been wanting to make a list of every anime I've seen for a long time now, but didn't because it would be too long. But...The list wound up so short, though D: I hope I'm just forgetting things and that's not *really* all I've seen. :/

I recently watched the 1st 4 eps. and the 2nd to the last DVD of Last Exile. Waah! I love it! ♥ This is one anime I actually watched dubbed, even though I had a choice! (scary, huh?) But, get the English cast here: Jonny Young Bosch as Klaus, Kari Wahlgren as Lavi, Crispin Freeman as Alex and...*drumroll* Josh Seth as Dio! Haha! I've loved Josh's voice since Digimon. It's so distinct, I can always pick it out ^^ He's so fun as Dio. I had no idea he had a creepy gay voice in him. Such talent ^^ Dio's just a fun character in general.
There's also Mona Marshall as Luciola, but she's in EVERYTHING so I'm tired of her voice ^^; (Brianne Sidall's little boy voice beats Mona's anyday :P She should've gotten some of Mona's 3bazzilion rolls :P)
Watching this while following Eureka 7 is funny because when Klaus and Lavi talk, I keep hearing Renton and Anemone talk ^^;

I checked The Dead Connection out of the library. I should put Theif on hold and read that, buuuuuuut... I've already put Acorna's Search on hold to read Theif >_<; Oh libraries, always making me paused books half way...
Anyway, I've been on a kick about stories with kids talking to the dead. I kinda wish I had a 6th sence. I wonder if I have an extremly slight one, that makes these stories interesting to me? ^^; (*100% kidding* don't think I'm weirder than I already am.) Jess says I should try The Mediator, but my library doesn't have it...

It's just as good as the 1st time I saw it. It's touching to the point of being difficult (painful?) to watch. I don't know why I feel for these characters so much or why I identify with them. I at least know why I feel so close the Fruits Basket characters. It's because they are different from other people and are lonely...
Anyway, I want to read the PSME manga, but the art is way too ugly. I can't feel for poorly drawn characters! Forgive me!
I really wonder if there are other manga as touching as Furuba and PSME.

I bought Riviera for my GBA. Whoo! It's got voices! My first GBA game with voices! The art is really pretty too. It's winner ^^ (unless I get stuck or something >_>)

Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeessss! A new must buy anime series. Not too many of those come along for me (my DVD collection is tiny, compared to my manga ^^;). I feel bad for not buying the official Loki DVDs, so I must suport Tactics! *fist in the air*

I don't have anything at all to do today though Monday (Memorial Day weekend blues T_T). It's so boring, it makes me really sad. I wish I was better at making friends...

I'm watching the DNAngel anime on Anime Network. Not only is it not as good as the manga, it's just not very good at all. I like some new scenes that weren't in the manga to be added in to an anime, but changing the whole story line is terrible. It's like saying 'Sugisaki, we hate your story. We are changing it to make it better, because our ideas are better than yours.' >_< It's like the Ella Enchanted movie, only more enjoyable just because it's anime (and not Disney XP).
The timeline is all screwed up. The pool scene and Daisuke realizing that he's really in love with Riku both happen way before the Towa-chan arc >_< It's so confusing and weird!
The, er, 'revised' pool scene was fun if you take out Mio (get to her in a sec. Chotto matte ne). Hiwatari actually did CPR on Daisuke XD Well, the screen went black for that moment, but it did happen. In the manga, it was really With transformed into Daisuke and Hiwatari was interupted before he could do it ^^; (there's so much more Hiwatari/Daisuke in the anime ^^;)
Getting back to the downside, the anime takes out what makes DNA good. In the pool ep. (which I just watched), they add a new female character, Mio who detracts very much from the story. She is there to act as a rival for Daisuke's love. I never considered DNA a romantic comedy. In fact, romcom is worse than just plain romance! In the manga, Daisuke has Riku. There is no if and or but about it. Mio is completely uncalled for.
It's also way too episodic. I don't get the feeling of anything really big happening at all. There're other problems too.
It makes me worry what would happen if there were a Lagoon Engine anime >_< This company (don't know who it is) doesn't seem to understand Sugisaki-sensei's storytelling at all!
Don't get me wrong, I don't hate the anime. It's tough for me to hate an anime. It's just that I expect more from an anime based off DNA. If you ignore the manga, it's just a typical eveyday anime.

I've figured out why Naruto irritates me, even though I watch it. It's not that it's bad show, it's that I'm jealous that certain friends of mine are obbsessed with it and i don't have a series to obsess over at the moment T_T; (I am just not able to obess over Naruto. Sorry.). Argh! I miss having a super favorite series to fangirl over! I used to be pretty into Death Note and Loveless, but now we've settled into a comfortable relationship. Like old friends, I supose? Eh heh heh ^^;
In fact, I think I've even been more into books than anime lately :/ Especially Darren Shan. It's easy to find (okay. I just typed 'It's easy to be good fanart' I need to go to bed -_- *dies*) good fanart for it, yet it's not as popular as Harry Potter (that's a good thing). ...but none of my friends read it T_T It's so much easier to get into things if you're friends are too.
I'm hoping I'll meet a new series at Connecticon. *prays for good video showings*

There's going to be a Death Note anime now too D: I'm not sure whether to be happy about this or not. I mean, ever since I got into DN, I was praying for a live action. So, the movie fullfils all my hopes *loves it without having seen it yet* *dork*. To me, having an anime is pointless. So, I'd buy the movie on DVD, but not the anime. Talking DVDs because I'm pretty sure this is one Shonen Jump anime that won't be coming on Cartoon Network ^^; I think the subject matter might be too much for even Adult Swim... (but you never know. the AS people seem pretty darn cool and have good taste when it comes to anime)

Hair report: This moring, the shower water ran dark purple out of my hair. I watched in horror as if it was blood running down the drain. Haha.
My hair is signifigantly less purple today, but I think Color Pulse is only supossed to add highlightys to your natural color instead of covering it up. It still looks awesome today, just in a different way.

I was going to talk about how bad I slept last night, but I'm tired ^^; Heh. Let's just say: Two dogs barking on different occassions+Evil Demon Bird=No sleep. I haven't sleept right for a week~ *winy* I was so tired, I freaked out in Borders yesterday...ugh...

I bought purple hair dye. Not spray, mind you, but dye. It was on sale at Shop Rite, so I just went for it >_<; It's not permanat, ofcourse. It should only last for a week. I wish it was more like a month, though :/ Now, before you go asking for pictures, I haven't put it in yet. I'll keep you posted when i do.

In the process of downloading the Digimon 05 fansub. See, I can download anime on this contection, it just takes about 12 hours, aka: two nights of leaving the net on all night. So, I only download very special things, such as the Weiss and Jing OVAs and the 1st ep. of Loveless a while back.

In the time that I've been following what anime are showing in Japan, I've never seen a season with so much stuff I'm dying to see. It's amazing, really. I need highspeed internet so bad T_T Jess, you are so wasting your internet! You need to download stuff with it!
