So, over all today was pretty spiffy. We went to go see Where the Wild Things are. I'll never see a movie at a party again because it took up most of our time orz I NEEDED MORE ROMANO TIME DARNIT ♥
The movie was really cute, though ♥ Bob and Terry are clearly the best characters ;) I thought the movie was a little boring in some parts, but it is a kid's movie, so it's probably I good sign that I was a little bored XD Max is adorable. no I'm not a shota-con why do you ask?

The puppet I made for my cosplay of Juri from Digimon Tamers ^_^ (like this: http://www.geocities.com/websprinter1/digimon_anime/_jeri.jpg ) I put my hair up like Juri's quickly ^^;;; I actually have a green scrunchie that I'll use for real. This costume will be for CPAC in March.

The conversation I had with my parents before the doll meet:

Mom: If there's a 40 year old guy with a mustache sitting there with a doll, you're leaving.

I've gotten back into the Digimon doujinshi project! (I almost quit ><) The good weather has reenergized me. In fact, it's been a little too hot for me (I'm very sensitive), but I haven't felt as groggy as most days. It's good drawing weather, even if i prefer cloudy days (because of my sensitive eyes).
I had only been drawing large full page pictures before as practice, but now that I'm actually working on a comic, it's tiny, so I think it hides the some of the flaws.
Fun fact: I like drawing the digimon better than the people :p

This is for my self to keep things straight, a list of what I will be working on:
All chara book: Two 4-panels and a splash, to go next to them. This will probably be 2 pages in all.
Jou/Mimi book: Two 4-panels (on one page). I just got an idea for a 5 page story, but I was thinking of asking if anyone else wanted it. But I'm really only doing 3 pages besides that, so maybe I'll keep it? I mean, that's only 8 pages all together.
Chara goods: Maybe book marks. I want to draw movie!Sora ♥

...When I draw Jou he looks like Yukito from CCS orz

I bought a computer game call Plantasia today. It was on clearance for $5. It's a kids' game, but since I'm a 10 year old at heart, I like it ^^
It feels sort of Japanese, really. Between the art style (slightly anime, without screaming 'Hi. I am a fake American anime!') and the style game play. It's a gardening game! Hee hee.

I've signed on for mippa-san's Digimon doujinshi project! I encourage all familar with Digimon to check it out.
As a bonus, one of the books will be Jou/Mimi, my 3rd fave Digi pairing ^^ (#1: Tai/Sora, 2: Ken/Miyako (I hear there will be a story for them in all chara book :3), 3: Jou/Mimi). AND as a bigger bonus, no Yamato/Sora alowed! Whoo!
At first, I was really scared, but I drew Mimi today and it looks really nice! I want to submit it as a bookmark, if Mippa-san lets me.

Other things I want to do for the project:
A Jou/Mimi splash page
Jou/Mimi 4-koma (if my friends help me for ideas)
A Sora and Hikari splash for the all chara (though, I would love to draw Juri and maybe Alice. I think Tamers is OK for the splash page? I love Tamers nearly as much as Adventure)
Some sort of all chara 4-koma (Tai/Sora?)

Jess and I are both practicing our drawing. I hope we can do a doujinshi together someday. We were thinking Outlaw Star, but, hey, how about DNAngel? (trying to think of 'our' series) No, I really want to do OS ^_^

If I do a dj alone, the #1 thing I want to do is Guilty Gear XX, Jellyfish Pirates+Bridget only book! *not kidding*



I bought Weiss Side B at Mitsuwa yesterday. Aya didn't really die at the end of Gluhen! T_T *tears of joy* He had me so worried!
The thing is this manga has few furigana, so reading it is tough. I'll read Shonen Shinkaron first (another new series I started).
I was sad they didn't have any Air Gear yesterday. They always had it before...

I went to a web building course Mom signed me up for today. As always, I hated it. There must be something wrong with me to hate every single activity I try. Japanese I the only thing I've ever not hated.

KL-chan-sensei did a Digimon 03 fanart, so I was thinking that it's so strange that people don't like 03. Even though 01 is my fave, for old time sake, 03 is clearly the best. Someone said in the coments that because it's too depressing? Personally, I love watching people go insane in stories (is that too weird? ^^;), so watching Juri-chan's mental health decline was facsinating (OMG, I want to cosplay her so bad. It's all about the sock puppet!). That's why I love Digimon so much, it's so serious for a kiddy show ♥ I *love* serious anime and if you pair that with cute, young characters, then it's clear a winner ^^ I'll never get other Digimon fans :/
I looked for Digimon doujinshi at CCon, but the only 03 ones they had were Lee/Ruki D: Isn't Ryo/Ruki the official paring, anyway? They're so great together! I would *so* buy a doujin of them. Or Takato/Juri, while I'm at it ^^ No love for Lee! Sorry, Lee! ^^;

I bought purple hair dye. Not spray, mind you, but dye. It was on sale at Shop Rite, so I just went for it >_<; It's not permanat, ofcourse. It should only last for a week. I wish it was more like a month, though :/ Now, before you go asking for pictures, I haven't put it in yet. I'll keep you posted when i do.

In the process of downloading the Digimon 05 fansub. See, I can download anime on this contection, it just takes about 12 hours, aka: two nights of leaving the net on all night. So, I only download very special things, such as the Weiss and Jing OVAs and the 1st ep. of Loveless a while back.

When making my list of awesome anime out in Japan this season, I forgot about Digimon 05 and .hack//ROOTS! My two big ones! How could I forget? D: *searchs desperatly for screen shots*
In the time that I've been following what anime are showing in Japan, I've never seen a season with so much stuff I'm dying to see. It's amazing, really. I need highspeed internet so bad T_T Jess, you are so wasting your internet! You need to download stuff with it!

The main dude, Masaru looks like a girl. I mean that in a really bad way (cause, trust me, there is a good way to look like a girl). I really like the design for Tohma (the blonde boy). He's actually really cute. Hoshino (the girl) looks pretty cool too. But Masaru needs to be eaten by something in the 1st episode. really. And, what's this?, no one has goggles!? D: It's not Digimon without the goggles!
I'm really excited about this XD I hope it gets shown on American TV too. If it's fansubbed I'll see about downloading or buying on CD or something. Digimon is worth it.

In other news, Pretty Cure was picked up by 4Kids (aka: the company that needs to DIE). Ugh... I had wanted to see that show (*magical girl fan*). Well, I guess I will be seeing it now, just not the way the creators intended -_-

Yes, even though it snowed a whole ton last night, I have to go to back to Japanese class today T_T I mean, I love knowing Japanese, I just hate going into class. It's a tough class for shy people like me, because you expected to talk to your classmates for alot of the exercises. Even after 2 years, I'm still terified of the other students T_T I'm so lame.
At least now the class is at 12:30, so I get a proper amount of sleep now, I just have to eat a weird time. I just can't win ^_^;;;

Hopefully it'll be better than the awful 04 -_- 04 took all the specialness out and just left us with a generic kids' show (though, it was the first series were one of the kids actually died). After that they said they wouldn't make an 05, but I guess they changed their minds.
Gotta say, I do like these designs so far ^_^

Tokyopop finally put up their page for +Anima ♥♥♥ it's one of my all time favorite manga and my favorite shonen manga, even beating out Death Note ^_^ Give it a try if you have the chance. It's wonderful. I've only read the first 3 (of 10) volumes, but so far it's an episodic adventure story about four kids trying to find their place in the world. I don't usually like that sort thing, but for some reason +Anima pulls it off really well. I love all the characters, except Nana for some reason, and it's really hard to choose a favorite. I always consider that to be sign of a really good story. Other than the characters, though, it's like Prince of Tennis in the way that i have no idea why it's so good. It just is. Go read it.

The new Borders at the Middletown mall opened up. It's got a cafe and everything. Really nice. Though, i can't use my 'manga bonus' card or Walden's coupons there, so things will wind up costing me more -_-
Well, last time I was there, I picked up Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne 1 (they had Chikyuu Misaki and Rasen no Kakera too and I was very tempted but...). I have been wanting to read this manga I think since I first got into anime. So far it wasn't as great as I expected, Tanemura-sensei's Fullmoon wo Sagashite is alot better, but it was still an enjoyable read. CMX did a really nice job on this book, I think. At least the cover design looks really nice when I compare it to my copies of Land of the Blindfolded and Young Magician (even YM is still an improvement over LotB, though).

So I though today the new Digimon Tamers movie was supossed to come on, but it's next Sunday -_- Hmph. Stupid Power Ranger marathon *kicks a random Ranger* Last night i got bored watching Naruto and switched to Digimon on Toon Disney. It was the episode where Ryo-kun shows up ♥ Ahh, after all these years it's still a good show.
But anyway, about Naruto: it was okay when Sara let me the fansubs and I marathoned it, but one episode a week just does not work. I have never seen a show where so little happens in each episode. It's painful to try to watch. Naruto is dang slow and boring and that's all there is to it. I mean, I still don't mind marathoning it, but... Well, I just perfer a shorter series. In a 13 episodes series they have to cram so much into each episode, that each one feels ver exciting, even with non-action shows like Haibane Renmei. Can you imagine a 52 episode Haibane Renmei? Ouch.

My Kino's Jorney box arrived in the mail yesterday...completely crushed T_T The DVDs still play, but the box and 3 DVD cases are all smashed up. I'm currently waiting for Overstock to reply to my e-mail about it. Ugh.

AND!!! Well, I've known about this since Monday, but Toon Disney will be playing the remainder of the Digimon movies. Very exciting news. For years I was thinking I'd never get to see them. Sunday at 3 they're starting out with a Tamers movie. I LOVE Tamers. For me, it's 2nd only to the original 1st season.
Ofcourse I'll be away when it's on -_- I will be praying that the VCR has no problems.
