Jess and I were just discussing future cosplay plans (cosplans?) over the phone. Next year, we want to go back to some of our old fandoms. I've decided to be Subaru from .hack//SIGN and Plenair from Disgaea :D (Jess will be Shino and Rozalin?) These would be for either Anime Next, Anime North, or Manga Next. At Anime North, I may want to do another Hetalia character, however, because I'll be meeting some of my APH peeps :3

I'm so excited to be Plenair! I can't wait to make the bunny X3 Maybe the shark too.

I happened to find some Plenair figures while image browsing. I don't collect figures, I'm surprised that they cost $70 each D: And people say BJDs are expensive! Even though a cheap BJD would cost you let's say $180, you can do *so* much more with it than just a figure :/ They don't seem worth the cost at all.

For some reason, I'm not excited about Ctcon :/ I don't know why... Well, for one, there aren't as many people on the ctcon forum APH thread as there were for AN. These people just don't fuel my excitement like the AN forum peeps did ^^;;; I'm also afraid I'll be a sucky Lithuania and taller than all the Russias

I've been playing Disgaea 2 ALOT. The game play is as wonderful as the first one. By wonderful, I mean very easy. It's so much more comfortable for me to use stragey for a battle than to just go in and 'hack 'n slash'.
But besides the fabulous game play, the characters and story are lacking so much T_T The first game was very funny. And you know I don't call something 'funny' lightly, as I have a strange scence of humor. The humor in Disgaea was 2nd only to that of Okage. I guess this came from the mean spirited-ness, since the main characters were demons ^^; This time, the main character is a typical hero -_- This time around, so far the story is just light-hearted, but not funny. It's similar to the stories of Phantom Brave and La Pucelle (other Nippon Ichi games I have).

I've decided for Halloween this year, I will be samurai class from Disgaea ^_^ Er, modified a bit so, you know, I can wear it in public :p

I watched my recorded Bleach this morning :D The dub is nice! Jonny Young Bosch (Ichigo) is one of my fave VAs ^^ And they kept the opening intact! I love both the song and the op. animation ^^
Trinity Blood was neat too. It needs more time to become interesting I think. Is it just me or is Abel a bit Vash like? He really reminds me of someone.


Oh and I know what calendar I'll be purchasing this year, dood.

What!? Anime Next is having my 2nd favorite voice actress after I've decided to go to Connecticon instead this year!? No! Why could'n't they have had Kari Wahlgren last year!? T0T

Well, C.Con is having Chris Paton. That's something. I'll see about getting Pretear signed (he played Sasame). He also did Fakir in Tutu but I like Sasame alot better. (DIEFAKIR!!) The Tutu commentary was the best comentary I've ever watched though. Chris had me laughing so hard. I'd like to tell him that ^^
He did Greed in FMA too. I know slashy_sprite is pretty excited about that. At least that's one panel we'll do together ^^

I forgot to mention last time, but CMX also took over publishing Mega Tokyo. Vol. 4 comes out in June ^_^ Yay! I was getting afraid that vol. 3 was going to be the last one or something.

Lastly Disgaea anime coming Geneon! Whoo hoo! Let's hope they bring the game's dub cast back. I played the game dubbed just because I love hearing video games have voices. I wanted to enjoy the full efect. I wish Okage had had voices T_T
The anime is only 12 episodes. Aww. At least it'll cost me alot less now then if it had been 26.

Whee! So I slept over at blue_rose_sama's. I couldn't get to sleep until like maybe 4:30am because I cannot sleep anywhere that is not my house. It's horrible >_<

We watched Napolean Dynamite. It was very...that is to say...it was quite...I have no clue what it was ^_^; I'm not even sure what it was about. I don't even know whether I liked it or not ^_^;;;

kethron's Naruto DVD works on Jess's player! It was amazing! It didn't freeze up once! I must say it...that DVD player is l33t ^___^

I also asked Jess (it is too much troble to do the LJ User thing everytime. Deal with it) to recommend me some books. It was really funny. She was going through the list of books she'd read and kept saying 'Ooh! That one was really great! You wouldn't like it.' and 'This one's really weird, you'll love it'. Hee hee. Let me tell you, it is so tough having such weird taste. I wish I could find a book review site, set up like a manga review site. You know, how it's only written by one person so if thier taste matches yours, you're safe with almost everything on their list.

Jess is so lucky to have a friend like me. Some one who has enough free time to copy all their anime soundtracks so she won't have to buy them. ~_^

Jess also has no clue how to make oat meal. Jess, dear, that was moistened oats, not oat meal. You are the weird one in this case ^_^



I saw the trailer for the Disgaea anime ^_^ It didn't show much, but I'm still really excited about this anime. I hope it get licensed right away. It's a must buy for me.

The Fullmoon wo Sagashite anime has been licensed! Ooh! Even though I'm buying so many other series, I may just have to go for it.

Current manga: I dunno! I feel like I should read my 2 unread issue of Shonen Jump, but Tsubasa 5 is now on the coffe table, so we'll see.

I need to fix things on both computers so I can watch anime on them again. If possible, I'm anticipating this more than I was Loveless.

I've always hoped that either Disgaea or Okage would be made into anime. It'll never happen for Okage. Ever. People hate that game. It's a shame, because it would make an even better anime. It really wants to be an anime, but for some reason, it's a lousy game instead (the game is no fun to play, but the story and the characters, and the scence of humor are fantastic).

I got off track there. It's funny that Disgaea will be an anime, because it's one of the few games I actually enjoy playing and not just waiting for cut scenes and such. I still hoped for anime anyway.
Well, I can't wait. I hope the art will be as nice as the game's.


While I'm on the subject, I did go back to playing Phantom Brave. I have to admit that the game play is better than in Disgaea. It's more challenging though, because your characters can only be on the field for a limited amount of turns.
But like I said before, the story and characters are lacking. No demon children trying to rule to netherworld, or demon penguins. The Prinnys rocked.
I still wouldn't mind a Phantom Brave anime, if it ever happened.

Ahem. I'd just like to take a moment to say...

Ahh... Nippon Ichi games are for me what Square/Enix games are for everyone else. I want to collect all of them. I need/want La Pucelle next.

I wish my mem. card hadn't been wiped that time last November. I wish I could've finished Disgaea. It was alot better than Phantom Brave. Disgaea was really funny while Phantom Brave is just cutesy. It's still one of the best games I've played, though.

I don't want to re-play any of the games that were on that mem. card. That's why I've only got a choice of about 3 games right now. Meh.
