Met up with kawaii_syaoran and her sis in NYC today! They were so sweet and nice and fun X3 I usually feel really nervous with people, but it felt like I'd known them forever ♥ I loved having someone to geek out over APH and other things with XD

We went to all the Japanese bookstores. I was surprised at the selection! It was better than a con dealers' room! Whoa.

I think for the GakuHeta meet in October, I'll take the train. The bus was pretty late pulling into the station for our way there. I hate unpredictability. Do trains run more on time?

I spent longer than I needed to on the apron pockets for my Hungary today because I was using a fancy stitch that looks something like kite strings.

PS: Mom reminded me that I had one of her old tops from the 70s that had an Asian theme. So I did have something to wear today ^_^

i went to get a blood test today. So maybe I'll find out why I'm always tired. After that:
I went to Hot Topic today and...someone hugged me. I looked down (*giant*) and it was my friend Serena from Animation ^^; She gave me a heart attack! I'm really bad with people when I'm not expecting them so I was really nervous and had no clue what to say orz It was nice seeing her, though. Also there was the guy from Mythology that passed out that time. It was so weird lol I know so few people, so seeing two I know at once...it was something. I think I want to crawl into a hole now...

We had the 2nd meeting of our anime club today (calling it a club is to encourage people to come each time, but it's just our friends hanging out, really ^^). Only Jess and her friend Chris came. It was nice, though, since I don't like alot of people around anyway. I keep telling Jess, though, that, if you try to rely on a group of people to make something happen, it will never work out. Only trust yourself ^^
i got to play Rock Band for the first time. Um...I didn't like it that much ^^;; I'm too girly for it, I manged to break a nail playing the guitar ^^;;;;;;;;;;;;;;; Singing on it is fun, but they need to let you key in whether you're male or female. i was singing Little Sister, but I couldn't go as low as it wanted >< Dude! I'm a girl!
Ya know, Little Sister would make an awesome Angel Sanctuary AMV XD No, really.
Anyway, Rock Band is fun with friends, but I couldn't see myself owning that or Guitar Hero.
Chris had such a great collection of games. I wanted to steal his huge foler 'o games XD (he has Persona 1 and 2! I might've squeed ^^;)

Next weekend, Jess and I (+some other people I don't really know?) go to Spalsh Down XD I haven't been in years! And I've never been to a water park with friends before! Doing things with friends is still so novel to me ^^ I'm so excited.

The weekend after that, we go to CTcon!
I'm not used to actually having something to do every weekend ^^;;; I'm really happy ^^

I might just have to make my Yami AMV on Dad's comp... I'll just do it when he's at work :p

Watched Monochrome Factor 9 after everyone left today. Man, that show is stupid! ...Why can't I tear myself away? lol.

TP's out of print list. It's sad T_T X Day is one of the best manga I've ever read. It's so meaningful and just great. More people should've gave it a chance. Clamp's Clover and Suki where really great too. What's wrong with people, not buying these!? There are a few others very much worth reading on there as well. No big loss with Miyuki-chan and School Detectives, though :P

So, yeah, Friday night I went to the 'Naruto disscusion' at Barnes&Noble. It was...-_- Yeah. That face sums it up pretty well. It was fun meeting up with blue_rose_sama though. We pretty much drooled over a copy of Hatenkou Yuugi, or Dazzle if ya wanna go with the American title, the whole time. The 'disscussion' was really lame. The kid running it talked so quiet, I couldn't hear her at all. She didn't raise any interesting points for disscussion or anything. It was really unprofessional and blah.
Anyway, Dazzle looks like alot of fun. I think Jess is gonna buy it. There was the best line ever about eating a cow XD The dialouge is really good and the art's great too. I think Rahzel, the main girl, changes outfits every other page.
Oh! And we had the best conversasion ever! We were looking through a Happy Bunny book that said something about 'It's illegal to makeout with stuffed animals in most states.'
Sara: Oh...Wish I had known that before... (or something to that affect)
Jess: I don't know you.
Me: No...I was about to say something simillar. She beat me to it.
Jess: Ew! I don't know you either!

It was really funny ^_^ At least to me, but you know I'm weird.

So, yesterday, I was finally able to get a picture of Aisha's waitress outfit! it looks really easy to make too. I remembered it way more complicated than it was. I just hope people are able to recognise it since she only wears it for one ep. ^_^;;

Whee! So I slept over at blue_rose_sama's. I couldn't get to sleep until like maybe 4:30am because I cannot sleep anywhere that is not my house. It's horrible >_<

We watched Napolean Dynamite. It was very...that is to say...it was quite...I have no clue what it was ^_^; I'm not even sure what it was about. I don't even know whether I liked it or not ^_^;;;

kethron's Naruto DVD works on Jess's player! It was amazing! It didn't freeze up once! I must say it...that DVD player is l33t ^___^

I also asked Jess (it is too much troble to do the LJ User thing everytime. Deal with it) to recommend me some books. It was really funny. She was going through the list of books she'd read and kept saying 'Ooh! That one was really great! You wouldn't like it.' and 'This one's really weird, you'll love it'. Hee hee. Let me tell you, it is so tough having such weird taste. I wish I could find a book review site, set up like a manga review site. You know, how it's only written by one person so if thier taste matches yours, you're safe with almost everything on their list.

Jess is so lucky to have a friend like me. Some one who has enough free time to copy all their anime soundtracks so she won't have to buy them. ~_^

Jess also has no clue how to make oat meal. Jess, dear, that was moistened oats, not oat meal. You are the weird one in this case ^_^



I saw the trailer for the Disgaea anime ^_^ It didn't show much, but I'm still really excited about this anime. I hope it get licensed right away. It's a must buy for me.

The Fullmoon wo Sagashite anime has been licensed! Ooh! Even though I'm buying so many other series, I may just have to go for it.

Current manga: I dunno! I feel like I should read my 2 unread issue of Shonen Jump, but Tsubasa 5 is now on the coffe table, so we'll see.

I'm so tired of being bored and lonely. I wish I wasn't so awful at making friends. It would be so nice to have something to do on weekends Jess is busy. *sigh*

I'm almost done reading ASoUE 12. It is such a great series. I love the way that it all seems so stupid and silly, yet there are underlying mysteries that you really want to learn the answers too. I'm mean, it's silly and weird, yet the plot is very interesting. It's hard to explain, but it's just so good. Easily as good as Harry Potter, or at least Artemis Fowl.

So, I finally started reading The Young Magician. Blah... So. Boring. The art isn't even as nice as the cover would have you think. Plus, I hate Carno. It's no fun reading a manga where you hate the main character. I'm gonna see about taking it back and getting Land of the Blindfolded 4 or something.

I went to the mall with Jess (blue_rose_sama) last night and I started to read the American graphic novel Off*Beat in Bordera. It's really cute. I like it a whole lot so far. Lianne-sama can give you a better review than I can:

Finished the next to the last Spiral DVD like last week or sometime like that. I love Kanone ♥ It's a shame that the anime doesn't explain any of the mysteries, though -_- I mean, isn't that why you'd watch a mystery series? So things are solved in the end, right? I wish Tokyopop would get off their butts with the manga (which is said the explain everything). I think they lost the rights to it.
Anyway, wow is it a good anime. I need to want to make an icon of the pic of Kanone and Eyes from the end credits. Yeah, THAT one. *nose bleed*

Dad won tickets from the radio to see Harry Potter Friday. Yay ^_^

Watched the Naruto dub on Toonami last night XD *joy* Even though I'm not that much of a fan, I was still greatly pleased (and surprised!) at how the show was treated! Get this: a TV PG age rating XD XD The same as InuYasha on Adult Swim. They actually let Naruto say 'Sexy Jutsu'! Lol! I thought that would be the first thing to get cut. They let the characters say 'kill' too. Not 'get' or 'destroy', but 'kill' XD You go, Toonami! The voices where pretty good compared to the Japanese version if I do say so myself. Only problem: the theme songs. Oh well. Nothing's perfect.
Overall, it was just an awesome presentation for Toonami and I hope they keep it up. Hopefully future anime titles will have this level of non-editing as well ^_^
Oh, I did not watch the 2nd episode yet, but I remain hopeful ^_^

I went to blue_rose_sama (Jess)'s birthday yesterday. Fun ^_^ Watched lots of my anime (everyone agreed that I have weird taste after watching NieA_7 ^_^) and I got to borrow Hellsing from Peter. We watched an extra on the Inuyasha movie 2 DVD and it had the story of how Kikyo and Inuyasha killed eachother or whatever acted out with plushies. Two words: plushie Naraku.
Just a fun day in general.

Speaking of anime, now that Paranoia Agent AND Shaman King are over, the only anime I really have to look forward too on TV is Zatch Bell -_- Cartoon Network needs to get some more and better stuff (C'mon, CN! Bobo? You can do better than that!).
I really hope IGPX is better than other anime made specifically for Americans, like DICE and Zoids Fuzors -_-

I went to Michelle's gradution party (friends only, no old relatives. yay!) Monday night. And ofcourse Jess and everyone else was there. It was alot of fun. I even didn't mind being out side too much, because we all had a huge watergun fight ^___^ It's been a while since I've had stupid, childish, non-anime, fun. We also ate s'mores. Yum.
By the time they put Full Metal Panic on (ofcourse there must be some anime. what else do you expect from us?), I had to leave -_- But Peter said he'll lend it to me sometime (boxed set) ^_^

After a whole year, I finally convinced Michelle to let me read Hot Gimmick. She and Jess both thought it was too mature for me ^_^;;; It's kind of nice, though, that they try to take care of their young friend ^_^;;; Anyway, I after bugging them for a year, Michelle gave me the first two (hey, I'm a whole year older now, anyway ^_^).

So, contrary to what Jess says, Hot Gimmick is not worse than Chobits. Sure, Chobi is more positive and has meaningful messages, but I still was more disturbed by it than HG.
I really like the art in HG. That's the reason I wanted to read it in the first place.
The story is pretty 'meh' for me, as most shoujo romance-dramas are, but I'll keep reading, since I don't hate it. (Sora is not picky at all when it comes to manga)

Michelle also lent me The Devil Does Exist (Akuma de Sorou), which she bought at the con on my recommendation (I'm glad she enjoyed it ^_^).
So far (1/3 of the way through), it's like a mix of Marmalade Boy and Hot Gimmick (meaning, not something I would ever buy ^_^;;). I'm not too sure about the art yet. I tend to really hate the art in Margaret (Japanese magazine) titles (*stabs a copy of Hana Yori Dango*). So far all the characters look funny to me execpt for Takeru (he looks rather nice ^_^). Some of his hair styles bug me, though. I really love the author's art in Crimson Hero, so maybe it gets better later on in Devil.

After 3 volumes of extreme girly-ness, I'm going to read Jess's Prince of Tennis 6, before moving on to Kare Kano 12. I need some shonen to balence it all out. ^_^;;;
